How many people dye with food coloring?
If you do, is there anything you have run into as a road block? Any tips and tricks? I have been doing pretty good using food color dyes and am quite happy with my results. I have two little ones and not enough space for a dye kitchen, so I wanted to stick to something safe to do in my normal kitchen.
I am in the process of swatching out a large range of colors from AmeriMist. These are liquid dyes for airbrushing icing and cakes, etc. They seem to be very intense and i am excited to see what sort of range of colors I can get from them.Wooly Worms Shop

I'd love to see the results from the AmeriMist. I never heard of those before. I have not had much luck with food dyes in keeping them wash fast but I don't use them much so maybe it was my technique.

I have done a couple projects with food color dyed wool and the color survived the felting process well. It does take forever to set sometimes.

I only ever use food coloring for my dying and never really had a problem, i use vinegar in the mix and steam for about 45min, the only one that runs when rinsing sometimes ( not all the time) is red, apart from that the water is always clear after the steaming is finished.
