help naming scarves
I am making ruffle scarves. thee will be 3 weights. Right now I am doing a very fine cobweb one and then a little heavier one. As winter comes I will have heavier ones. I want to give the different weights different names. I thought of lace weight for the very fine one but don't know what to call the next one up. winter weight for the heavy one but a fancier name might be nicer. A friend suggested flutter, feather and fan( as in it's so warm you will need a fan). Fan is the one I don't like. it would have to be explained all the time. You folks have so creative helping people with names before I thought I would give you a try too.
Thanks
Ann

Re: hep naming scarves
I like feather for the cobweb actually. Did you research Etsy to see what other people are calling it? I have found in my many endeavors selling many things that if you go too outside the box, people don't get it. I would suggest sticking to something really simple and easy to explain. Simple is always best.

Re: hep naming scarves
You know you could just name them for the seasons you wear them in.

Re: hep naming scarves
I think the light could be "light as a feather", heavy could be "warm and wooly". But then the middle one is really hard. I can only come up with "middle of the road" which sounds a bit wishy washy. The other words that come to mind are average, standard, intermediate or traditional. I can't seem to think of anything that sounds appealing for the middle one. The only other word I came up with is temperate. But that sounds too much like the weather man.

Not easy is it?
I've been chewing the end of my pen for a while and I've come up with a few suggestions, but I'm not sure.....
Spring Breeze, Autumn Snuggler, Winter Warmer.

Re: hep naming scarves
I like autumn snuggler for the middle one, explains itself pretty much.
