This Vessel is the first larger Item I ever wetfelted. I felted it around a Balloon.
It hasn't got a title
It's about 25 cm in diamter
Inside I used grey merino? with colordots, Outside is Merino
I stiched the lines on with cotton and enhanced it with glass beads.

Thank you Kaza! The lamp is my latest project. It is for the childrens bedroom and some of the themes are also painted on the walls.
If you go to the following link and copy the URL into it, you might be able to read some of it! Although I try to post pictures that tell most of the story!

Re: July Challenge is Mixed Media
Hi all,
I would like to participate in the July challenge. Do I post here? I am still having a hard time trying to figure out how to post my own pictures to share. I guess I will just leave my blog and Etsy shop.
Thanks!

Re: July Challenge is Mixed Media
filz10a: great details!
I have once tried to wetfelt over a big balloon. I found out it wasn't that easy at all.. .. sides weren't evenly thick. Maybee that's because I am used to the flatresist method more. Just read on your blog you have troubles with the thick "seams". When you start with your resist just lay 2 layers of wool (horizontal and vertical) Fist layer is not going over the edges of the resist, second is about 2 cm over the resist, so when you turn everything around you have one layer of wool which you can turn over the edges. Now you lay the first layer of side B of the resist, only inbetween the "turnovered- wool " Second layer goes over the edges for 2 cm. Turn everything around and start again, inbetween the wool, over, etc.I mostly use 6 layers of wool for each side
This way you will not get any "seams" thicker then the rest of you felt.
I hope my explaination is clear enough... Other wise just contact me, ok?
