2010 Challenge Topics
Hi all! Here are the topics for 2010. I have tried to take all the suggestions and come up with the most comprehensive combination of topics that I could. I made the topics pretty broad so there are many interpretations. So go for it, challenge yourself! We do have prizes set up for all four quarters of 2010 so do enter each month if you can. You'll have a better chance of winning a prize if you enter all three months. Don't forget to add this to each post:
Title
Dimensions
Techniques & Materials Used
Date Created
Artists Name (forum username or real name)
Optional Link
When posting your entry for each challenge, you will reply to the challenge post for that month. Kaza will be posting the challenge each month. (Thanks Kaza!)
Now on to the challenge topics:
First Quarter - Color My World
January - Cool Colors - Felt something with the cool side of the color wheel - blues, purples, dark greens etc.
February - Warm Colors - Felt something with the warm side of the color wheel - reds, yellows, oranges etc.
March - Monochromatic or Black & White - Felt something with a monochromatic color scheme (all one hue with a variety of tones in that hue) or felt something in a black and white color scheme.
Second Quarter - Art Forms
April - Portrait or Self Portrait - Felt a figure or a flat felt piece in the portrait form - this can be of another person or do a self portrait - these portraits can take artistic license as in the self portrait can be a depiction of your favorite traits or characteristics.
May - Sculpture - Felt a sculpture - this could be almost anything as long as it is in a sculptural format i.e. 3 dimensional.
June - Abstract - Felt something that is abstract in nature (not representational of some object or person). This could be either in 3D or flat format.
Third Quarter - Express Yourself
July - Feelings - Express a feeling such as joy, amazement, sadness etc. This can be in 3D or flat format.
August - Movement - Express a movement such as jumping, dancing, running etc. Again, this can be in any format that you wish.
September - Elements - Express an element such as earth, air, water, fire. Again, the form can be whatever you like.
Fourth Quarter - Seasonal
October - Halloween or Day of the Dead - Felt something for this spooky season.
November - Remembrance/Memories - Felt something in memory of someone or something. could be in celebrations of Veteran's Day or any occasion of remembrance.
December - Holiday - Felt something in the tradition of your country or area's holiday traditions.

Re: 2010 Challenge Topics
If you want to participate, just go to the challenge thread for the month and reply to that thread. You'd be surprised what a challenge it is for all of us to make something perhaps that we wouldn't have except for the challenge.
