Hello, all. Here are my entries for the March Felting challenge:

Each photo is clickable to a bigger picture.

The first is the a photo of the Foxfur Nebula, next to my interpretation.
Below is the starfield IC4678, with my version.
Both are wool needlefelted onto thick interfacing, embellished with seed beads as stars.
Barbara Marr will recognize a bit of this; they have been ongoing projects. They were SUPPOSED to be the front and back of a tote bag, an idea I later rejected. Then once I dismantled what I'd done I decided I wasn't happy with the felting, so I added a lot more layers. Then I had to add more "stars". They haven't told me if they want to be wallhangings, pillows or what yet. Maybe I'll make a few more starfields and make a big wallhanging!

Michelle, they are Beautiful!!!
Very intricate and look very much like the photos they are modeled after.
I haven't made any flat felted art yet, but yours inspires me to give it a go!

This is beautiful ! You must have been working a lot with the small beads - stars. I have done a lot of thinking of this theme, celestial bodies, and find it pretty difficult. But you have really nailed it !
