Hi felters!
Hi I'm Doug Daugherty. I just wanted to say hello and get a little more familiar with folks on this cool site. I have been felting for a couple of years now. I run an alpaca ranch in the four corners region of Colorado. My wife Allurynn is a fabulous knitter and I process and spin our alpaca yarn, as well as wet felting and needle felting. We have an Etsy website at: www.MoonsongRanch.etsy.com Please stop in an take a look at some of our creations. You can also connect with me on fb at www.facebook.com/Moonsongranch
I love this site already. I've gotten lots of ideas after cruising around. This week I will be felting nuno scarves and I would like to try may hand at creating ruffles, (which I've not accomplished yet). I would also like to try the art of shibori and do some hand painting. My ideas never seem to end by my time sure does. I am also a full-time programmer with a family and a 4 year old some who's always curious about the things I am creating.
I look forward to meet lots of folks here and becoming an active member of this great community.
Happy felting!
~Doug

Hello Doug and welcome to the forum.
I've been trying to access Etsy for the last fifteen minutes, but I'm unable to do so. It's the early hours of the morning on your side of the pond , so perhaps it's running maintenance?
I'm looking forward to seeing your stuff later.
I think alpacas are wonderful. You've certainly got your hands full with the ranch, job and home stuff. Can empathise a bit with that - never enough time for felting is there?
My grand-daughter was 4 (rising 5) when she had a go at making a felt picture and she loved the squishiness of the wet felting.http://www.rosiepink.typepad.co.uk
