UK newbie - hello
Just a quick note of introduction. I am a 'hobby crafter' and I have only recently discovered felting...and I'm hooked!
I live in Surrey in the UK with my hubby, 10-year old son, a couple of dogs, 4 cats, a gerbil, some fish, and a gigantic pile of craft projects at various stages of completion! I am a housewife but do work as secretary for our dog club, do some graphic design (setting up newsletters, yearbooks and an annual calendar for the club amongst other things), help out my Dad with the odd bit of admin, take the occasional photo, and have started studying for a degree with the Open University...so basically the typical 'jack of all trades, master of none'. Let's see if felting might be the one for me!
This forum seems a great place with lots of friendly people ! I'm sure my questions will be plentiful and suitably silly as befitting a newbie.
Oh, and my name is Pia

Hello Pia and welcome to the forum! Felting is a great hobby and I understand that some people use dog hair.....

Welcome Pia! I am a newbie as well! I love your description of "a gigantic pile of craft projects at various stages of completion" - that describes my craft table. It is funny, because my sons (3 boys ages 25, 23 and 22) make me watch "Hoarders" periodically just to coax me to finish something and clear out space before starting something else! Hubby is very supportive though, because when I am working on my crafts I am "leaving him a lone."
anyway, welcome - I look forward to seeing pictures of your wonderful creations!!
Kim
