older drum carder belt
A friend just gave me her older Ashford Drum carder because the belt was broken and they don't make this particular model any more. I just wanted it to do some blending, which I'm told that this is all this model was good for. Anybody out there have any suggestions? Anybody?

Thanks, UnaUna Walker

Thanks, I have written/e-mailed to Ashford but no response yet. I have rigged up a leather thong belt, but I'll have to find something stiffer because what I'm using is too stretchy and I know It'll work better if it's stiffer!
sorry, it must be later than I think!

What about a big O-ring? I have a couple that are used on my tumbler lid so I know they make 'em. Try one of the big hardware chains?

Thanks, a spinner friend helped me tie up just a piece of string and the tension is pretty good. The leather piece I tried was too bulky. The string seems to be adequate for now. Una
