Felting Challenge to win a drop spindle

For the chance to win a handmade drop spindle (pictured below), I’m challenging you to felt something with the theme of twists, twirls, and spirals. Anything from using yarns, coiled or twisted wool, a spiral design, curly locks, or even 3-D shapes, such as twisty hats or vessels....anything you can think of

You can make it as big or small as you like. Dimensions/techniques/materials aren't required, you can give as much or as little info as you like... just a photo is fine, but you know we all love to know how things are made, so you'll probably get quizzed for details anyway

The challenge is open for 6 weeks, til Monday 21st November 2011. The winner will be drawn at random from everyone who enters.

    Have fun and Good Luck!

This sounds fun! I'll have to see what I can think of to do. Did you paint the little colored dots on the spindle?

    Thanks Ruth, Kaz and Pam

Yeah, it's all handmade Ruth, then I painted the whorl with acrylic paints.

Such exact dots with the painting, mine would have been all wobbly.

    Thanks Pam and Ruth
You should have seen my hand and eyes wobbling as I did it, Ruth!

I have an idea and I plan on getting it done at my upcoming felting party. Anyone in the Kalispell, MT area on 10/21 is invited!

Cool, I will have to take some photos. It needs to be done anyway. The spindle is the wrong way up but it is pretty and I could learn to use it. I agree with Ruth I couldn't paint dots that well.
